Willalooka Power, is one of the top carcass sires in the Murray Grey Breed. Willalooka Power has 348 progeny including 85 daughters analyzed in Breedplan. He is a trait leader in birthweight, scrotal size and carcass weight. For many years the Willalooka Stud in Australia pioneered the emphasis on breeding for performance in commercial herds, which puts the producer in the position to obtain maximum benefits from superior performing cattle. When results from the Angus/Murray Grey Gold Program were released, 164 out of 168 head of steers, or 97.6%, recorded Choice+ or better. Willalooka Power sired over seventy five percent of those steers. This bull is well represented in our herd though we do not use him directly any longer because semen is unavailable. We do use his son, Lindale Hobo who also demonstrates many of the strengths offered by Willalooka Power. Both Power and Hobo produce progeny with excellent fertility and low birthweight.
