are always bringing replacement heifers into our cow herd. The performance standard for an Eagles Run cow is very high - she must produce a strong,
healthy calf each year who meets our growth, structure and temperament objectives.
Sires of our cows and heifers include Freedom Pioneer 1T from the famous Cadella Park Minute Man line,
Flying S Caesar II out of the renowned Barragunda Atlas, WCC Freightliner - 2002 Canadian Champion, Keighlan's Wensleydale, Willalooka Pharaoh, Lindale Bo Jangles, Willalooka Power, HA Mr. Muscle, and other great examples of the Murray Grey breed.
Our Murray Grey cows are Right-Sized cows, never extreme (either small or large) in size and efficient with an abundance of maternal traits. These cows are gentle, manageable and excellent mothers. We rarely need to assist a calving and the number of cows who come up open is less than 2%. Their quiet nature, reliability and ease of handling make it practical to have a Murray Grey Cow.
