Please look over the pages accessible in the banner on the left. These pages
will describe our Murray Greys, the Murray Grey breed, our breed associations and some
of the unique characteristics of the Murray Grey.
The Murray Grey breed celebrated its 100th aniversary in 2005 having originated
in Australia's Murray Valley on the New South Wales/Victorian border. The
breed has spread from Australia to New Zealand, Asia, North and South America, and Europe.
"Murray Greys have an abundance of the 'easy care' beef profit generators: fertility, milking ability, docility, growth and carcass yield. Meat quality is something that Greys do better than any other breed"
For the herdsman, these cattle are ideal; easy keepers, versatile beef cattle who are superior converters of feed (either grass or grain). A hallmark of the breed is its quiet, docile temperament, making the handling of these
cattle - including the bulls - a safe and satisfying experience. We call them EASY CALVING, EASY GOING.
